You\u2019ve probably noticed that the months between March and June, as well as September and October, tend to be very busy, with fewer resources available. Talk to your service providers, and consider holding some of your events in months that aren\u2019t so overbooked. You may even be able to get lower rates!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Express your interest early!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even if your event is several months away, confirm your interest in working with a service provider as soon as possible! It\u2019s much easier to book qualified professionals when the date of your event is still far in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Trust your business partners.<\/strong>

When it comes to choosing the furniture, the audiovisual equipment and even the food, they are the experts. Your partners are there to offer advice, listen to you, and suggest alternatives and solutions that are tailored to meet your needs!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Have a fallback strategy, and make a plan B!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re planning your event last-minute, have a plan B! Your service provider may already be overbooked and unavailable to work with you on your event. It\u2019s always a good idea to have a fallback plan. A virtual or hybrid event could save the day by limiting the personnel needed for the set-up, take-down and operation of your event. Planning for an increased event budget from the beginning will help you make clearer choices that fit your anticipated budget. Hourly rates disappeared months ago, and many freelance technicians are now requiring a minimum of 10 hours. The four-hour minimum just isn\u2019t possible anymore.
